First off, I have to say that Special Bob’s household has new Puppies, born on 1/8/08. They will be for sale at a price yet to be determined, but they are adorable little things, you can see at http://www.specialbob.com/springers/index.html.    Next I want to talk about some items I’ve learned about recently, which I would have liked to have gotten for christmas. Since it’s too late for that, they are still pretty neat items, and my birthday isn’t too far off.

   The First item is Amazon.com’s “Kindle”, available at http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Amazons-Wireless-Reading-Device/dp/B000FI73MA .  It is an E-book reader that comes with lifetime cell internet service, so you can pretty much buy a book in less than 2 minutes, from just about everywhere. Sweet! And the Kindle does a bunch more, and it’s just a couple of hundred dollars overpriced at $400. I still would love one though.

   Another item I wouldn’t mind having is called the Eye-fi, and is available at http://www.eye.fi/. It is a wireless 2 Gig SD memory card. It’s unique wireless ability allows easy transfer of pictures you take with your camera. Sounds like a super idea, take a picture and it automatically uploads to your computer, even right to the internet. Not too shabby for just about $100.  Maybe next year.

  The last item I will mention is software that allows you to use game controllers for gaming on your PC. Available at http://www.xpadder.com/index.html, it sounds like a great idea, instead of using Keyboards and Mice, especially for people used to using the gamepad controllers. Ok… so I would like some controllers too… The software says it works with any controllers. Sweet!
